State Police Zemgale Region Directorate Document Management Department Translator Main Job Responsibilities: 1. Translate incoming and outgoing correspondence, voluminous complex texts and documents, including procedural documents. 2. Consecutively translate conversations and procedural proceedings containing specific terminology from Latvian (foreign language) to a foreign language (Latvian), including translation of video/audio recordings. 3. Register and maintain records of translated documents and translation work performed (including video/audio recordings), and report on completed work to the department head. Education and Professional Experience Required for the Position: - Second level professional higher education; - Desirable experience in legal document translation; - Desirable work experience in law enforcement agencies; - Ability to format translated text in accordance with document management regulatory requirements; - Skills to use information technology (use translation software and electronic databases); - Category B vehicle driver's license.
