Reliable and Engaged Personal Assistant Needed for Man in Visby (96%)

Would you like meaningful work where your presence creates security and enrichment in everyday life? We are now seeking a personal assistant for a man in his 50s living in Visby. About the Position You will be part of a great and stable team of five assistants. The position is 96% and scheduled on a rotating 4-week schedule. The schedule provides an excellent balance between work shifts and longer consecutive time off. During a 4-week period, you will work: 7 overnight shifts (with 3.58 hours of on-call/standby time during the night) 2 day shifts Who is the Client? The client is a man in his prime who lives in his own home. He appreciates a structured daily routine varied with activities. During the day, he participates in day activities, and in his free time, he enjoys outings, time at home, and walks. The client has an intellectual disability and autism and does not use spoken language. Instead, he communicates through body language, sounds, and his own signs. This means that as an assistant, you need to be extremely attentive, have patience, and be able to read his well-being and needs. Your Work Tasks As an assistant, you are the client's extended arms and legs in all daily activities. This includes: Personal hygiene, showering, and dressing/undressing. Support and supervision with meals and household tasks (cleaning, laundry). Participating in activities outside the home (outings, shopping). Providing security, calm, and structure – especially when the client becomes stressed or has difficulty settling. Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for someone who is driven and confident in yourself, has good empathy, and a strong sense of personal integrity. Since you work in the client's home, it is important that you can balance being available with giving space when needed. Requirements and Merits: You speak and understand Swedish fluently (important for communication with the client and documentation). A B driver's license is a requirement so you can easily go on outings and activities together. Experience with autism, cognitive disabilities, or low-affective interaction is highly meriting.
