Treasury Specialist – Consulting Assignment in Gothenburg

We are seeking a senior Treasury Specialist for a qualified consulting assignment with our client in Gothenburg. You will have broad responsibility for financial risk management, liquidity, cash flow forecasting, and insurance matters in an international operation. About the Assignment The role combines strategic responsibility with operational implementation and involves close collaboration with the CFO, the group's treasury function, banks, and internal finance departments. Key responsibilities include: • Manage and mitigate currency, commodity price, and interest rate risks • Coordinate and implement hedging activities in accordance with applicable policies • Oversee liquidity management and short- and long-term cash flow forecasting • Monitor market developments and assess impact on the company's financial risk profile • Manage relationships with banks and other financial counterparties • Oversee insurance programs, renewals, and claims matters • Contribute to improvements in treasury processes and group-wide initiatives • Support Accounting, Controlling, FP&A, and other business functions We are looking for someone with: • University degree in economics, finance, or equivalent • Senior experience in treasury, corporate finance, banking, or financial risk management • Documented experience with currency, commodity price, and interest rate risks • Strong expertise in liquidity management and cash flow forecasting • Practical experience with hedging strategies and financial instruments • Experience with banking relationships and financing solutions • Excellent Excel skills • Fluent English, spoken and written Advantageous: Experience with treasury management systems, ERP systems, and Bloomberg.
