Our mission is to develop and operate sustainable transportation for a growing Uppsala County. We develop infrastructure and public transport within the county. Under the UL brand, public transport is operated in collaboration with contracted transport companies. We are now seeking a customer-focused transport coordinator with strong coordination skills for our medical transport booking and dispatch unit. Working with us means facilitating the daily lives of our passengers every day and meeting the needs of a growing county. The Medical Transport Services department is responsible for the county's medical transport and coordinates specialized public transport throughout the county. Your Assignment
As a transport coordinator, you are responsible for receiving medical transport bookings, primarily by phone, as well as dispatching medical transport. In this role, you must be stress-resistant, have good multitasking abilities, and be able to make quick decisions.
The booking coordinator role includes the following tasks:
• Receive bookings via phone
• Schedule medical transport in the planning system
• Monitor, dispatch, and track traffic
• Contact with taxi companies that operate the transport
• Contact with healthcare facilities, emergency dispatch centers, relatives, and patients

Since our operations must run 24/7, shift work and irregular working hours are included, meaning your schedule will include daytime, evening, and night shifts on weekdays and weekends.
Your Qualifications
Requirements
• High school diploma
• Experience serving customers over the phone
• Good computer skills and ability to seek information and learn new systems
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Merits
• Experience with switchboard and other coordination work
• Experience with the Alfa system
• Traffic dispatch or transport coordination experience
• Local knowledge of Uppsala is a plus
