Måltidsfabriken offers transportation services to the public sector and private actors in 18 locations across Sweden. We are in a strong expansion phase with a focus on quality, reliability, and social impact. Our largest assignment is meal transportation for municipalities – work that requires responsibility and independence in an environment characterized by trust and structure. Description We are now looking for a transport manager who wants to take responsibility for leading and optimizing our daily transportation operations. In this role, you are the hub of our logistics flow – you plan routes, support our drivers, and ensure that our deliveries happen smoothly, on time, and according to our customers' requirements. Experience in transport & logistics is a plus, but not a requirement – what matters most is that you have a structured work approach, are solution-oriented, and enjoy having many points of contact. Key Responsibilities: As a transport manager, you will have a central role in our daily operations. You are responsible for planning, leading, and optimizing our transports so that they are conducted efficiently, safely, and in accordance with customer requirements. You are the hub connecting drivers, customers, and operations management – with significant room to influence and improve work methods. Your main tasks include: Planning and Scheduling: Create efficient driving schedules to ensure on-time deliveries. Coordination: Lead, coordinate, instruct, support, and follow up on drivers' work days. Monitoring and Follow-up: Continuously monitor transportation operations to identify and resolve any issues that may affect delivery quality or efficiency. Track and report transportation results and KPIs. Customer Contact: Be the point of contact for customers regarding transportation-related questions. Ensure that customers' specific requirements and wishes are met in a professional manner. Quality and Safety: Ensure that all transportation activities are conducted according to the company's quality and safety standards. Perform regular inspections of vehicles and equipment to maintain high safety levels. Reporting: Establish and maintain reporting systems to document transportation operations, including deviations and areas for improvement. Report to senior management on status and issues. Personnel Development: Oversee recruitment, training, and development of transportation personnel. Conduct employee conversations and performance reviews to support staff development and motivation. Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in transportation processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and cost control. Participate in development and updating of transportation policies and procedures. Qualifications and Requirements: Skills: Strong leadership qualities and ability to motivate and lead a team. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both in Swedish and English. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and solve problems effectively and quickly.
