Måltidsfabriken offers transport services to the public sector and private entities in 18 locations throughout Sweden. We are in a strong expansion phase with a focus on quality, reliability, and social value. Our largest assignment is meal transportation for municipalities – work that requires accountability and independence in an environment characterized by trust and structure. Description We are now seeking a Transport Manager who wants to take responsibility for leading and optimizing our daily transport operations. In this role, you are the hub of our logistics flow – you plan routes, support our drivers, and ensure that our deliveries run smoothly, on time, and according to our customers' requirements. Experience in transport & logistics is an asset, but not a requirement – what matters most is that you have a structured approach, are solution-oriented, and thrive with many points of contact. Main Areas of Responsibility: As a Transport Manager, you will have a central role in our daily operations. You are responsible for planning, leading, and optimizing our transports to ensure they run efficiently, safely, and in accordance with customer requirements. You are the connecting link between drivers, customers, and operations management — with significant scope to influence and improve working methods. Your main duties include: Planning and Scheduling: Create efficient driving schedules to ensure timely deliveries. Coordination: Lead, coordinate, instruct, support, and follow up on drivers' daily work. Monitoring and Follow-up: Continuously monitor transport operations to identify and resolve any issues that may affect delivery quality or efficiency. Follow up on and report transport results and KPIs. Customer Contact: Be the contact point for customers regarding transport-related questions. Ensure that customers' specific requirements and wishes are fulfilled in a professional manner. Quality and Safety: Ensure that all transport activities are carried out according to the company's quality and safety standards. Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment to maintain a high level of safety. Reporting: Establish and maintain reporting systems to document transport operations, including deviations and areas for improvement. Report to supervisors on status and issues. Personnel Development: Responsible for recruitment, training, and development of transport personnel. Conduct employee interviews and performance evaluations to support staff development and motivation. Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in transport processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and cost control. Participate in the development and updating of transport policies and procedures. Qualifications and Requirements: Skills: Strong leadership qualities and ability to motivate and lead a team. Strong organizational and analytical abilities. Communication: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, in both Swedish and English. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and solve problems effectively and quickly.
