Alpine Skiing Coach

You are part of Härjedalen Gymnasium's alpine specialization program together with your colleagues at NIU. You work with our fantastic young skiers who want to focus on their sport while combining it with upper secondary studies. As a coach, you help build resilient, secure, and motivated students with a focus on the joy of sports. You will work within the program's framework, and the position includes travel during evenings and weekends for camps and competitions. Strong emphasis will be placed on building a dynamic team for sustainable and long-term work with our students. Start date: as soon as possible or by agreement. A probationary period will be applied. Work Responsibilities - Plan, organize, and conduct camps while taking responsibility for students' development, progression, and well-being in connection with training and other sports-related activities. - Set courses, analyze, and coach students in their athletic pursuits. You will also conduct theoretical sessions. Qualifications - You need extensive experience in alpine skiing, preferably racing, as a coach or knowledge acquired in other ways. - A valid driver's license (category B) is required. Teacher certification in specialized sports is a merit. Providing an extract from the police criminal record register is a requirement for employment. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Personal Qualities - You have an open and relationship-building personality, as contact with your colleagues and the trust you can build with students are important. - You enjoy collaboration, take 100% responsibility for your area of work, and assist your colleagues when opportunity and capacity allow. - You have good interpersonal awareness and can meet varying needs and performance levels in a respectful manner. Even outside the classroom/training sessions, you should be able to serve as a role model for students in both conduct and lifestyle matters. - You see opportunities in your daily work and gladly contribute to students' and the organization's development.
