Do you want to help shape train traffic? As a Traffic Planner at Trafikverket, you help make everyday life easier for residents and businesses throughout Sweden. You do this by contributing to the infrastructure of the future. Responsibilities As a traffic planner with us, you are responsible for planning and constructing timetables for passenger trains, freight trains, and special transports on the railway. You review and manage planned track work in the facility so it is carried out in a traffic-safe manner. In the role, you receive internal and external applications and based on these you conduct analyses and ensure that there is capacity on the railway. You engage in dialogue internally at Trafikverket and also work closely with both railway companies and contractors. You have various system tools at your disposal to create good conditions for achieving a market-oriented production plan that maintains high quality in terms of punctuality and traffic safety. We are looking for someone who: has a university or college degree of at least 180 credits (120 points) in urban planning or logistics with at least 1 year of continuous administrative work experience alternatively, you have other industry-specific education combined with several years of relevant and current experience working in railway, logistics administration, traffic planning, or similar has good system understanding where you are accustomed to working simultaneously in multiple systems, for example planning systems and case management systems have good experience working according to applicable regulations and provisions in your work have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Additional Information The position is based in Malmö. Web-based tests are used as part of the selection process. If you advance in the process, the tests will be sent out tentatively on 9/21. Initial interviews will be held via Skype tentatively during weeks 41-42. Travel occurs during basic training to Solna and Ängelholm spread over 5 weeks. Would you like to work partially remotely? We plan, manage, and monitor traffic on 98,500 km of state roads and 14,200 km of state railways.
