Traffic Planner at Axelssons Turisttrafik AB – Västerås About the Company Axelssons Turisttrafik and Ellénius Buss merged in 2020 to form a joint company with the aim of creating a stronger and more competitive player in the bus and transportation services market. We are expanding rapidly and continue to grow through acquisitions and takeovers of traffic operations. As a group, we have a fleet of approximately 190 modern vehicles and over 400 employees, offering charter and school transportation services across large parts of Sweden. Axelssons Turisttrafik AB is now seeking an engaged and business-minded Traffic Planner/Personnel Planner who wants to take a central role in our operations. With us, you will work on planning scheduled routes, school transportation, and charter transportation in an operation where quality, safety, and service are in focus. We are looking for someone who enjoys a role where you can combine analysis, structure, and problem-solving with close collaboration and daily contact with operations. About the Position As a Traffic Planner, you hold a key role in our organization and are responsible for planning and optimizing both personnel and vehicle resources. You work both long-term and operationally to ensure efficient traffic production with high quality and good profitability. You will, among other things: Plan scheduled routes, school transportation, and charter transportation Create and optimize schedules for drivers and vehicles Plan staffing based on operational needs Ensure that planning complies with laws, collective agreements, and driving and rest time regulations Optimize vehicle utilization and resource allocation Plan for seasonal variations, school starts, holidays, and changed transportation needs Collaborate with traffic management, maintenance, customer service, HR, finance, and others Monitor traffic production, schedules, and resource utilization to identify improvement opportunities Contribute to the development of working methods, processes, and digital planning tools We are looking for someone who has At least two years of experience in traffic planning or personnel planning Experience from the transportation sector, for example, bus, public transport, trucking, or rail Experience with complex planning of personnel, vehicles, or traffic Good knowledge of driving and rest time regulations, occupational health and safety legislation, and collective agreements Very good computer skills and experience with planning systems Good skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Experience with systems such as BPL, Klartext, Trapeze, Ferdia, Hastus, TransPA, Visma, or similar is a merit Who are you?
