Description To the team working with traffic and traffic-related issues, we are now looking for a traffic engineer who wants to contribute to our continued development. In this role, you will work with challenging traffic issues in an exciting and dynamic environment. You will be an important part of our work with urban development, detailed plans, and infrastructure investments, where you contribute technical expertise in traffic systems, traffic safety, and accessibility. Together with colleagues and stakeholders, you will drive development projects from idea to implementation, as well as handle current traffic issues that make a difference here and now. Responsibilities Your main tasks will be: To design and develop traffic solutions for the municipality's streets and public spaces. To collaborate with other specialists in urban development and infrastructure to create sustainable, safe, and accessible traffic environments. As a representative of the municipality's traffic function, you are responsible for driving and monitoring subject matters in projects, consultations, and planning processes. The role involves many contact points, both internally within the municipality and externally with consultants, contractors, authorities, and the public. The role offers good opportunities to influence and you have considerable freedom within responsibility. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: Relevant education in the traffic field, preferably higher education. Experience working in the traffic field. Ability to plan and structure your work efficiently and who can take responsibility both independently and in a group. Good knowledge of applicable regulations and standards in the traffic field. Experience handling traffic issues in connection with urban development and planning. Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with different stakeholders and decision-makers. Category B driver's license. Desirable: Knowledge of and experience with CAD drawing is desirable Experience from a similar position Great importance is placed on personal qualities.
