Would you like to work on creating pleasant and attractive outdoor environments in Vetlanda Municipality? We are now seeking a landscape gardener for the park unit at the technical office.
As a landscape gardener, you will work with the operation, maintenance, and development of the municipality's green spaces. You have an important role in preserving and developing the municipality's green infrastructure and contributing to sustainable and well-maintained outdoor environments that are appreciated by the municipality's residents.
In your assignment, you have special responsibility for operations in central Vetlanda. You contribute your knowledge regarding maintenance, development, and design of outdoor environments, and provide support to the unit manager and landscape architect. The work is largely independent, and you plan your workday based on the needs of the operations, while also working closely with colleagues.
The work is varied and takes place throughout the year. During the winter half of the year, work includes snow removal and de-icing during winter.
Your work tasks include, among other things:
working with maintenance and care of parks and green spaces, as well as other tasks related to park work
ordering plants, planting, caring for, and developing flower beds, perennials, and flower plantings, as well as growing flowers in our own greenhouse
performing pruning of trees, shrubs, and hedges, as well as participating in nature conservation work
working with replanting and design of outdoor environments

Qualifications
Post-secondary landscape gardening education or equivalent competence that we assess as equivalent
Good plant knowledge and experience in green maintenance
Experience using garden machinery
Driver's license with at least B category
Meritorious
BE driver's license or B96
Chainsaw and brush cutter training
Computer skills
Wheel loader certification
Sky lift training and chainsaw in sky lift
Employment form: Permanent employment.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-09-01. Start date September 1, or by agreement. Selection and interviews are held on an ongoing basis.
