The operations are staffed around the clock, every day of the year. Our work within Support and Services is best described by the LSS statute text: people with disabilities should be able to live as independently as possible. This includes principles such as equality, choice, participation, and personal integrity. As a temporary staff member in our operations, you will be part of a work team that can vary in size, from 4 to 10 colleagues. The work teams operate based on the goal that each individual receives a meaningful day with our help. As a temporary staff member, you begin with an introduction and later work independently. Colleagues offer support for medication delegation, both practical and theoretical, to increase your chances of passing the exam. Job Description Support and Services in Söderköping Municipality is seeking temporary staff. Support and Services includes group and service homes, day activities, personal assistance, and short-term housing (for children). As a temporary staff member within Support and Services, you provide everyday support based on a pedagogical approach. Care and support are provided based on the individual's needs, integrity, and self-determination. Together with your colleagues, you work to engage the individual in their own daily life based on given conditions. You will provide support for people with diagnoses within NPF and intellectual disabilities. Services vary from compensatory to supportive. You should be comfortable performing tasks including personal care, cooking, medication management, cleaning, and maintaining social contacts and relationships. Our work is governed by several laws, including: LSS (Act on Support and Services for Certain Persons with Disabilities) and HSL (Health and Medical Services Act). We are looking for someone with a positive attitude toward your work and who enjoys meeting people. The work requires good initiative, a salutogenic view of people, and high work ethic. We place great importance on personal suitability. Qualifications We see that you have relevant education or are currently pursuing education. Examples of education we consider relevant: nursing assistant with psychiatric specialization, childcare worker, support pedagogue. We would prefer that you are accustomed to working based on clarifying pedagogy, low-arousal interaction, AAC, and visual support. We expect you to receive medication and insulin delegation. You take responsibility for your work and the operation's function as a whole, are communicative, can work independently and in a group. Good computer skills are something the employer considers a prerequisite for being able to work for us. Before a job offer, a certificate from the police criminal records register must be presented. You must be 18 years old to work within Support & Services. You are expected to have good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. A B driver's license for manual transmission is desirable.
