Your Assignment As a substitute teacher in preschool and school, you provide support where needed based on current and periodic requirements. This means you may work at different units and meet children and students of various ages. You work to support children's and students' care, development, and learning. Tasks include participating in educational activities, substituting in classrooms, engaging in play and outdoor activities, providing support during the school day and in after-school programs, and contributing to a safe and positive environment for children and students. You work according to the operations' routines, governing documents, and instructions from the responsible manager or regular staff. Teaching, methods, and planning are prepared by regular employees, and your task is to carry out and support the operations within the given framework. In this role, you collaborate with teachers, childcare workers, after-school staff, and other colleagues to create a safe, secure, and developmental environment for children and students. As a substitute teacher, you must be able to step in on short notice and have the ability to work partial days, full days, or longer periods. Your Experience For this position, you must have: - a good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. It is an advantage if you also have: - education in a child and youth care program, childcare worker training, or other relevant pedagogical education - experience working in preschool, school, or after-school programs - experience meeting children with different needs and circumstances - knowledge of curricula and pedagogical work with children and young people. You have a responsible and professional approach and contribute to good conduct in interactions with children, students, guardians, and colleagues. You work independently, take responsibility for your tasks, and have the ability to plan and structure your work according to operational needs. You also take initiative, see what needs to be done, and find solutions to challenges that arise in daily life in a calm and constructive manner. At the same time, you have good judgment and know when you need to collaborate with or seek support from colleagues. The role requires that you are flexible, adaptable, and comfortable in a daily environment where conditions can change on short notice. You are able to take work shifts with short notice and feel comfortable working at different preschools and schools, in different roles, and with children and students of various ages.
