As a substitute teacher in Marks Municipality, you get varied and developmental work where you become an important resource when regular staff are absent. The Staffing Unit in Marks Municipality recruits and coordinates substitute teachers for the municipality's 28 preschools, 22 primary schools, 2 special education schools, and 1 special education high school. Recruitment of substitute teachers is ongoing during Fall 2026; however, selection will not begin before week 34. 10 position(s). WORK DUTIES We're looking for substitute teachers for all activities within the Children and Education Department in Marks Municipality who can work during fall 2026. Assignments mainly consist of short-term substitutions where you can be booked on short notice when needs arise, but longer substitutions may also occur. As a substitute, you therefore need to be flexible and adapt easily to different workplaces, work groups, and tasks. Work hours and shifts vary between activities and can differ from week to week. We use the Time Care Pool system where you register your availability and choose which days you want to work. This gives you the opportunity to combine work with, for example, studies, other employment, or other commitments. However, we do expect you to be able to work several shifts per week to be an active part of our team. In addition to all the experience you gain with us, we also offer a wellness allowance to our hourly employees that can be used at Epassi! QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for someone who: • Has a genuine interest in working with children and young people. • Is responsible, committed, and has a positive attitude. • Has good collaboration skills and professional conduct. • Is flexible and adapts easily to new situations. • Wants to contribute to a safe and developing environment for children and students. • Has relevant education or experience. • Has a driver's license to enable work in our outlying areas. To be eligible as a substitute teacher, you need to be available during most of the period, as continuity is important for both children, students, and activities, and you must be able to present: • A valid ID document such as a passport or national ID card • A valid driver's license if you have one • An extract from the criminal record register Employment Type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 3-6 months, start date: By agreement.
