Do you want to make a difference for seniors and contribute to safety and quality care? We are looking for you to work as a temporary staff member at a nursing home or home care service. Your New Job As a temporary staff member in elderly care, your goal is to provide safe, respectful, and quality care to our senior citizens. You work with a focus on interactions, support in daily life, and collaboration with colleagues. In your role as temporary staff, you primarily work with care and nursing of elderly people at either a nursing home or through home care services. You provide support in daily life, create a sense of security, and treat each individual with respect. In addition to this, practical tasks are included such as cleaning, laundry, and cooking, as well as accompanying people on errands and activities. You may also need to handle medication, assist with transfers, and document services in the activity management system. Work tasks may vary, which means flexibility is an important part of the work. Being Temporary Staff Means You work primarily on short-term assignments, from individual shifts up to 14 workdays You replace regular staff during absences Your working hours are by agreement based on the service's needs and your preferences You have access to a mobile phone and/or computer to actively register your availability in our booking system. You are booked based on your availability via SMS regarding short-term assignments, which means many contacts occur with short notice, often the same day as the need arises Your Qualifications You must be 18 years or older No formal education or previous experience is required Swedish in speech, writing, and comprehension Computer skills for documentation For home care work, either good cycling skills and/or a B driver's license is required, and ability to drive in all weather conditions Physical mobility and ability to handle unforeseen situations Merits Ongoing or completed care and nursing education or other relevant education (nursing assistant, nurse, occupational therapist, physical therapist, personal assistant, social worker) Previous work experience in care and nursing Personal Qualities To thrive and succeed in this role, you need good ability to cooperate and communicate clearly with both colleagues and residents. You are empathetic and can put yourself in others' perspectives, while maintaining a professional approach and demeanor. The work requires you to be flexible and quickly adapt to changes, and to be self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks. Welcome to Us The staffing unit for elderly care supports six nursing homes and six home care groups throughout Jönköping Municipality with staffing. As temporary staff with us, you will primarily be assigned to one service where you have the opportunity to learn the work and build confidence in your role. Once you have settled into the work, there is an opportunity to work at several of the services supported by the staffing unit. You have your unit manager at the staffing unit, while you also receive support from unit managers and colleagues at the services where you work. Together we contribute to safe and quality care for the elderly in Jönköping Municipality. You will be employed by the Staffing Unit and assigned to the service(s) that you can envision working at. To work within the Social Administration, you need to provide a certificate of good conduct from the police, selecting the category for work in the home with elderly and persons with disabilities.
