About the Workplace Ersta Diakoni operates nine elderly care homes in Stockholm and Uppsala. With us, residents can continue living according to their habits, needs, and wishes. Mariahemmet is an elderly care home with 83 apartments distributed across nine units, five of which are dementia care units and four are somatic care units. Mariahemmet is a short walk from the Sandsborg subway station in Enskededalen. Nearby there is a small center with a grocery store, library, swimming hall, pharmacy, hair salon, and seasonal market. There are also green spaces, and the residence has a lush, green courtyard where we grill, listen to music, and have coffee with freshly baked pastries. About the Role As a temporary staff member, you work when the operation needs reinforcement, for example during the absence of regular employees. We are seeking temporary staff for both day and evening work as well as night work. Together with your colleagues, you provide support and care based on the residents' individual needs and wishes. The work includes personal care and monitoring changes in residents' needs. You document and communicate important information so that care is safe and coherent. During day and evening, meals, activities, and social interaction are important parts of the work. At night, there is a greater focus on creating security and providing residents with the care and support they need during the night. As a temporary staff member, you need to be able to step into different situations and adapt your support to the person you meet. You work independently, but are also part of a team where collaboration and information sharing are important aspects of the work. Who Are You? Your Experience To work with us, you need to: have experience working in elderly care be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing be able to use the digital tools needed in the work. It is meritorious if you have: certification from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare regarding the right to use the protected professional title of nursing assistant. Other Information About the Recruitment This position is a temporary employment, meaning you work when the operation needs additional staff. We are seeking temporary staff who can work days and evenings, as well as temporary staff who can work nights. Weekend work occurs.
