Are you a positive and flexible person with an interest in pedagogy? Then you could be one of the people we're looking for! 10 position(s). WORK DUTIES As a temporary substitute, you will work both centrally and in outlying areas of the municipality. You will be offered work at different units within your desired focus area with short notice. Preschool Here you work together with colleagues in a team. Communication is one of the most important work tools in this role. The preschool shall, in collaboration with the home, create the best possible conditions for each child to develop and thrive. Therefore, contact with guardians becomes an important part of the work. You are a role model with a special responsibility to set a good example through respectful and friendly conduct. In your role as a substitute, work tasks include meal situations, helping with dressing and undressing, outdoor time, and planned activities such as rest time, creative activities, and forest outings. School In primary school, you work either individually teaching a group of students with associated preparatory and follow-up work, or together with regular staff. You are an important role model with a special responsibility to set a good example by conducting yourself respectfully and pleasantly. If you work as a student assistant, you can either work with an individual child or support a group of students. After-School Program The after-school program shall, in collaboration with the home, create the best possible conditions for each child to develop and thrive. We work together to support students in play and to maintain good supervision over students during their time at the after-school program, for example on the school grounds. It is important that you engage with the students and get to know them. During school hours, your work may also include teaching or providing resource support. Adapted Primary School The adapted school has five classrooms and an associated after-school program. We are located at Högelidsskolan in the eastern part of Mariestad with beautiful green areas adjacent to the area. Here we provide significant individual support to meet students' needs and create the best conditions for enjoyable learning. You also have contact with guardians when dropping off and picking up children. QUALIFICATIONS Working as a temporary substitute requires high standards of flexibility and social competence. Regardless of focus area, it is important to be communicative and have a genuine interest in children's and students' learning. We are primarily seeking someone with post-secondary pedagogical education. Experience within our operations and/or studies in the children and leisure program are merits. If you also have other relevant experience with children and young people, perhaps from association work or other volunteer engagement, this will be considered a merit. You must master the Swedish language in both spoken and written form because communication and documentation are important work tools. We therefore expect you to have completed SFI (Swedish for Immigrants) studies. Certificates/grades must be presented at an interview. Due to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's requirements, you must be at least 18 years old. A class B driver's license and access to a car are advantageous for being able to expand your work areas with us. Booking of Work Shifts Mariestad Municipality uses a web-based booking program: MEDVIND, to book substitute staff. This means that as a substitute, you will receive work requests via SMS. As a substitute, you control yourself via a personal substitute calendar in the booking system, which days and times you are available for work. For this to work, you must have a mobile phone so we can communicate with you. We also use the email you receive upon employment for general information regarding your employment. About Your Application When you submit your application, we would like to see a CV showing your previous qualifications. You can omit the cover letter; instead, you will answer some selection questions. Attach copies of certificates and grades with your application, as well as the name, workplace, and phone number of at least one reference. We will keep your application throughout the entire application period and will contact you if an interview becomes relevant.
