The Staffing Center is a municipal operation and is responsible for Huddinge Municipality's temporary staff management in-house. Our mission is to staff and recruit temporary care workers for various operations within disability support and elderly care for short-term absences such as illness, vacation, or training. We are currently looking for care assistants and nursing assistants who can work as temporary staff at Stortorp Elderly Care Center. Stortorp is a large elderly care home with 176 apartments, divided into two buildings. It is located in a scenic park area beautifully situated on the shore of Lake Drevviken in Trångsund. The residence consists of special housing, short-term housing, and respite care, with places for both people with somatic illness and dementia. It is easy to reach by car and bus. Buses from Farsta Center or Trångsund commuter train station stop right outside the building. If you come by car, there are also parking spaces. The work tasks include meeting our residents' individual needs for care, services, and activities. You treat the residents with respect, focusing on making them feel safe and included in their care. The assignment also includes medication management after delegation from a nurse. The position is an intermittent employment with work according to the operation's needs. You will be offered work shifts based on your availability, which you can accept or decline via our staffing system. Your Profile To be eligible for work, you need to be available at least three days a week and be able to work varying hours that may occur during day and evening, both weekdays and weekends. We are also looking for night staff. The work requires a high degree of flexibility, and you need to be available on short notice. We would like you to be able to start immediately. As someone seeking this position, you have experience working in elderly care, preferably from work in an elderly care home. It is particularly meritorious if you are a trained nursing assistant and have work experience with dementia and medication delegation. The work requires initiative, cooperation, and problem-solving skills. You need to be confident in yourself and comfortable working with people who need continuity, structure, and care. We are looking for someone with a professional approach characterized by good human values and good treatment. You have a good command of Swedish, both spoken and written.
