Substitute Teacher at Laban School's Adapted Elementary/Secondary Program

The school is located in Uppsala for grades 1-9 as well as a 4-year gymnasium. We teach all theoretical subjects/subject areas. The school has a focus on culture, educational drama, and theater. We teach according to adapted primary school curricula and courses, as well as according to the individual program for adapted secondary school. Job Responsibilities At the school, you will work as a student assistant and provide extra support to students at school and/or at the after-school program. You will assist students in reaching their academic goals to create the best possible learning environment and provide them with the care they need during the school day and after-school hours. As additional support, you will work alongside teachers in the classroom and at the after-school program or in the facility's short-term supervision. You collaborate with the work team before and after school hours. You will be scheduled for work shifts via SMS and must be able to report to the workplace within a maximum of 60 minutes from when the SMS booking is sent to you. Qualifications You have a secondary school degree and are trained as a childcare worker or have previous experience working in a school setting, preferably a teacher student or someone considering studying to become a preschool teacher/teacher. We appreciate it if you have experience working with children, but it is not a requirement. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is a requirement. Passed SFI level D. We are looking for someone who is responsible, flexible, and has an interest in and respect for each student's needs. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. In our operations, the law on background checks (2000:873) applies. To work as a substitute teacher, you must provide a valid criminal record certificate for both school and LSS activities.
