Åre School is a grades F-3 school located a couple of ski runs from Northern Europe's most exciting ski area. The catchment area extends from Ullån in the west to Björnänge and Såå in the east. The school has municipal and cooperative after-school care as well as the recreation center "Lokalen," a gathering place for children and young people 12 years and older. Åre School's goal is to "provide our students with conditions for a good life." To do this, our approach is: Growth mindset and movement. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for substitute teachers for Åre School during fall term 2026 and preferably also for spring term 2027. You may, sometimes on short notice, be offered the opportunity to work with students either at school or during after-school hours. The job involves being with groups of children and to some extent leading already planned activities. If you step in during school hours, there are plans to follow and teachers to ask for advice and support from. The same applies in the afternoon at after-school care where you often work in a team that has planned the day's activities. Before you are hired, you will get to shadow for a day so you feel comfortable with the routines before you get your first job. QUALIFICATIONS • Having worked with young children ages 6-9 and having experience leading young people in groups is a merit. • Being curious and interested in both the job and the children is a success factor. • You should enjoy working in a team with others. • You should feel comfortable leading a larger group of students.
