We are now a Super Municipality! * For the autumn term, we are now seeking cooks for temporary assignments in our kitchens within Meal Services at Lerum Municipality. As a temporary worker, you will be employed through Lerum Municipality's Staffing Unit. Assignments cover times when regular staff are absent, which can range from brief fill-in shifts to longer temporary positions. How it works: You will be employed on an intermittent basis (temporary hourly worker) and receive ongoing requests for work shifts – sometimes the same day, sometimes with longer notice. You indicate your availability for work in our digital booking system, where you can also express interest in specific shifts. As a temporary worker, assignments can vary from day to day, and you may work in different kitchens throughout the municipality. Working hours are daytime on weekdays, but shifts at care facility kitchens on weekends may also occur. 4 position(s). WORK DUTIES You contribute to making every meal a positive experience for our guests. As a cook, you are responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving nutritious and well-prepared meals with quality and care in focus. We have a straightforward approach in our kitchens and help each other with our tasks. Work takes place primarily in large-scale kitchens, but also in smaller kitchens for those with extensive cooking experience. Your work duties: • Prepare and cook meals according to menu and dietary guidelines • Serve food and provide excellent service to our meal guests • Routine tasks such as dishwashing, cleaning, and quality control • Work according to the municipality's vision with focus on organic purchases, reduced food waste, and climate-smart meals QUALIFICATIONS Who are you? We are looking for someone who is self-directed, service-oriented, and responsible. You work in a structured manner, collaborate well with others, and have the ability to switch between different tasks without compromising quality or pace. You take responsibility, are resourceful, and see what needs to be done whether working in a team or independently. Collaboration and an unpretentious approach are important to you, and you have a good ability to adapt to different kitchens and routines. Qualifications: • At least three years of experience in independent work as a cook in multiple different kitchens. Alternatively, you are a trained cook with at least one year of relevant work experience • Documented knowledge/training in food hygiene and quality control • Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written • Basic computer skills An advantage is training in specialized diets and experience as a cook in large-scale kitchens. Other: Since this position involves work in schools and preschools, a valid extract from the Swedish Police's criminal record for "Work in schools or preschools" is required.
