You have no fixed employment level, but work when your availability matches the activities' needs. You set your own availability in our substitute management system. Bookings can be made with short notice or a few days in advance. Work shifts vary in time, location and scope. You get the opportunity to work within different activities and build valuable experience. As an hourly substitute you work within one or more of our activities in elderly care and personal support and care. Our activities are located in Brålanda, Frändefors, Vargön and Vänersborg. In your application you can indicate which activities and locations you are interested in. Think in advance about where you can and want to work. Feedback on your application may therefore take up to a few weeks depending on how many apply. About the activities Within elderly care you work providing service, nursing care and support. You can work within home care, special accommodation or day activities. Special accommodation is a collective name for various types of housing, for example elderly care homes, dementia care homes, short-term accommodation and respite care. Work tasks can for example be helping with transfers, meals, showering, toilet visits, laundry care, cleaning, walks, supervision and shopping. Within personal support and care you work supporting people with disabilities in their daily lives. You can work within personal assistance, LSS accommodation or municipal psychiatry. Work tasks can include personal nursing care, providing support in personal care and hygiene, daily chores or planning in everyday life. You also help create security, structure and independence in everyday life. What is required to work as an hourly substitute? In this job you meet people with different needs and circumstances, so we are looking for someone who is confident, responsible and has a considerate attitude. You need to be able to work independently, be flexible and enjoy meeting new people and environments. It is important that you can treat people in a calm, secure and respectful manner. An empathetic and respectful approach is central to providing good support based on each person's needs. To work as an hourly substitute you need to meet the following basic requirements: You must have reached 18 years of age. You need to have a passing grade in Swedish equivalent to year 9 in primary school or Swedish course D at basic level. You also need to have a passing grade in mathematics equivalent to middle school level (for example course 2 at basic level). Be able to use a mobile phone and apps for planning and documentation Be able to work several times each month In certain activities it is required: That you can cycle in traffic and urban environments. That you have a category B driving license It is an advantage if you have: Ongoing or completed education within care and support, or other education that may be relevant for the job. Experience working within care and support. Important requirements for employment It is important that you have reached 18 when you start work; if you are under 18 you are a minor. According to the Working Environment Act (1977:1160) and the Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2023-2 chapter 8) special rules apply for minors. This means that as someone under 18 you are not allowed to work during the working hours or perform the work tasks that occur in our various activities. Before employment you will need to provide an extract from the Police Criminal Record Register. For continued employment, a passing result in medication management training and approved medication delegation is required.
