As a substitute, you will be employed through the Staffing Pool.
Within the Staffing Pool, there are permanent nursing assistants and child care workers, but also temporary substitute staff. We continuously hire new substitutes and applications are open year-round. As a temporary substitute, you have a great chance of further employment after your substitute period. We offer you a varied, independent, and enjoyable job.
A Day as a Substitute in Child Care
Working as a substitute at preschool/after-school care means that you replace regular staff and are expected to perform most of that person's duties. Working in a children's group includes, for example, outdoor activities, group gatherings with children, dressing them, and more. Preschool activities consist of both care and learning. Teaching in preschool is based on children's play and interests. The regular staff has pedagogical responsibility, meaning that educators plan various activities and themes based on the curriculum's learning areas; these activities are then carried out by both child care workers, substitutes, and educators.
As a temporary substitute in Krokom, you will be employed by the Staffing Pool. You choose area and workplaces in consultation with us at the pool; we then book you for orientation. Once the orientation is complete and approved, you can be booked for assignments. More information about orientation and the systems we use will be provided when we invite you for an interview.
