About the Operation SiS Youth Residential Care Facility Gudhemsgården serves non-compulsory school-age boys with psychosocial issues, criminality, and substance abuse. SiS Youth Residential Care Facility Gudhemsgården has recently undergone an organizational transition from LVM care to LVU care and is now in an exciting development phase. Currently, the institution consists of four units but will expand to more during the coming year. We are focused on staff density and will be increasing our workforce, which is why we are now seeking additional staff for our operations. SiS Youth Residential Care Facility Gudhemsgården operates outside Falköping. Job Description Would you like to make a vital difference for vulnerable people? Then the position as treatment assistant at SiS is for you. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our young people toward new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you are employed to provide care and treatment. You contribute to ensuring that the daily routines on the unit function properly. You play a significant role in providing stability and security for our young people and form the foundation of daily life including school attendance, cleaning, cooking, and more. The work can be somewhat physically demanding as you need to participate in physical activities with young people and respond to alarms. You contribute to maintaining order and safety at the institution according to our procedures. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building secure relationships and help ensure our young people receive the security they need to break established patterns of behavior. Together with your team of engaged colleagues, such as treatment educators and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to positive change. Working hours follow a schedule including days, evenings, and weekends. Qualifications You must also have: At least a 2-year post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or equivalent education. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.* Class B driver's license Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written Your personal suitability is the key to vital change. Therefore, you need to have a strong ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is having a firmly grounded positive view of people, strong empathetic ability, and the ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can maintain your composure even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues.
