Job Description SiS youth home Johannisberg in Sävast is seeking treatment assistants for temporary positions who want to support change in a young person's life. SiS youth home Johannisberg in Sävast serves school-age girls with psychosocial problems, substance abuse, and criminal backgrounds placed according to the Act on Care of Young People. All work is guided by our core values of Respect, Care, and Clarity. Even as a temporary employee, you will be offered a solid introduction with mentoring and further training in areas such as safety, undue influence, conflict management, first aid, and more. As a treatment assistant, you work in a team on a unit together with competent colleagues who are waiting for you to become part of the team. In daily work, you build safe relationships and motivate our youth toward new and less risky ways of living. You play an important role in providing stability for our youth and form the foundation of daily life with schooling, activities, meal preparation, and cleaning. As a treatment assistant, you also contribute to maintaining security at the institution according to our guidelines and procedures. As a temporary employee, you work as needed. You make yourself available in our staffing system Netwic and are booked based on your availability. This way, you create the flexibility you need between work and leisure. The shifts you can make yourself available for vary from day, evening, weekend, and night work. Working as a temporary employee at SiS gives you—if you are studying social pedagogy or another post-secondary education in sociology, psychology, or pedagogy—valuable experience and knowledge for your future professional career. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has the ability to build trusting relationships with our youth. You have a positive view of people and your drive is to work with young people. You share our vision of being a place for change. As a person, you relate to people in a responsive and flexible manner, while also being able to set boundaries and follow decisions that have been made. You are secure, stable, and have the ability to maintain a professional approach even in pressured situations. You work well with other people and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues. You must also have: At least 2 years of post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or other equivalent education. The education must be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.* Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written Good physical fitness Class B driver's license *Exceptions to the requirement for at least two years of post-secondary education can be made in individual cases if there are special grounds according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468). For an exception to the two-year post-secondary education requirement to be granted, at least a secondary school diploma combined with relevant work experience is required.
