Substitute Teacher in Preschool or Elementary School (Hourly)

You'll be an important part of elementary schools' and preschools' work to create safety and learning for children and students. Your responsibilities You will replace regular staff who are absent. Together with the work team, you are responsible for conducting the operations in accordance with the curriculum. As a substitute, you work either in preschool or elementary school. The staffing unit will create a profile with you that directs which assignments you are matched to. PRESCHOOL You work in varying groups with children aged 1-5 years. Together with the work team, you create a safe and stimulating environment for the children. You contribute to care and educational work based on children's participation. Here you need to be flexible, unpretentious, and in good physical condition for work with small children. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Within school, you can work with one or more of the assignments below: - Adapted Elementary School You support one or more students with acquired brain injuries or intellectual disabilities. The work tasks are varied and challenging, which places demands on competence and personal qualities. You need to be able to work independently, be clear, action-oriented, responsive, and have the ability to adapt to the student's needs. - Teacher (Unqualified) You lead classroom instruction with clarity and structure. With creativity, flexibility, and high expectations for students, you motivate them to achieve good results. You can teach in: • Grades 1-6 • Grades 7-9 (choose from subjects: art, English, French, home economics, physical education, mathematics, music, natural sciences, social studies, Spanish, Swedish, technology, German) - Student Assistant You work with one or more students in the classroom or in after-school care. You provide support based on the student's specific circumstances and promote development and independence. This could include, for example, reading and writing difficulties, concentration problems, psychosocial difficulties, and/or various types of disabilities. - Resource Staff You work together with the teaching teacher in the classroom or in after-school care. The work tasks vary and the role requires that you work independently and take initiative. It is important that you have an easy time making contact with children and young people. You can substitute as resource staff in: • Preschool class up to grade 6 • Special instruction group/flex group • After-school care Your qualifications Requirements • Upper secondary education (or education that the employer deems equivalent) • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written • Good computer skills to safely handle our digital systems Meritorious • Pedagogical education such as preschool teacher, elementary school teacher, or after-school care teacher. • Specialized knowledge in a subject or experience that you can benefit from in teaching • Professional or private experience with children with special needs • Daily access to a car We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Other information Starting salary (hourly rate) for teaching teachers is 172.73 kr and as a substitute in preschool/elementary school as resource staff/student assistant is 143.26 kr. Education and work experience (both pedagogical and other experience) can result in a higher hourly rate. The work is scheduled on weekdays without weekends, with varying working hours. As a substitute with us, you are available for booking for one year. You will be booked primarily for short substitutes day by day, but there is also the possibility of being booked for longer continuous substitutes. Our employees are assigned to a limited number of preschools or elementary schools to create continuity and where you can become a known substitute.
