Lövsta Agricultural Research We are looking for you to work as an hourly paid stable technician in the VH-farm operation dairy cattle facility at Lövsta Agricultural Research and in the small animal department at VHC, Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science Centre at SLU, to cover regular staff absences and leave during the period September through December 2026. About the job We are looking for someone with a strong interest in animals who wants to perform various tasks at animal facilities such as daily care and supervision of dairy cows, poultry and small animals, stable work, cleaning, record-keeping, administration, weighing and feeding. The work includes weekend work. Daily tasks are varied and include routine work and stable work in research projects. Your background You should have practical experience and preferably theoretical knowledge of milk production. We place great emphasis on personal qualities such as ability to collaborate, independence, and initiative and organizational skills. You should be interested in working with researchers and students. It is meritorious if you have a driver's license (Category B), have completed a laboratory animal course, have experience with record-keeping, and if you have experience with tractor driving. About us Lövsta Agricultural Research has approximately thirty employees working in pig production, which includes 110 sows with integrated production, and in dairy cattle production with 300 cows with recruitment and administrative staff. The stables are highly mechanized with, among other things, milking robots (VMS) in the dairy facility. The operation carries out approximately twenty research projects annually and receives a couple of thousand SLU students.
