For 25 years, Gryning has offered HVB and open care for children, youth and families, on-call and family homes, addiction care, supported apartments, interventions against honor-related violence and oppression, and LSS housing. We offer counseling and training as well as help with placements. Gryning is owned by municipalities in Västra Götaland through four municipal associations. Soon, Söderåsen HVB will reopen in Mariestad in a fully renovated school building from the turn of the last century. Apply for the hourly-paid position! Söderåsen is an HVB in central Mariestad for young people aged 13–15 years. The young people who come here may have norm-breaking and acting-out behavior, school difficulties, and/or challenges in their relationships with family and others. 5 position(s). WORK DUTIES What does the position entail? As a treatment pedagogue, you work closely with young people in their daily lives and provide them with care, support and supervision. Together with colleagues, you are responsible for the practical aspects of the operation, such as cooking, cleaning and other daily tasks. Working hours vary based on the organization's needs and your availability, and can be scheduled for daytime, evening, awake nights or sleeping on-call. Work at Söderåsen is based on a milieu-therapeutic approach, where secure adult relationships and a predictable structure create conditions for young people to grow and develop. We use motivational interviewing (MI), a low-affect approach and a trauma-informed approach (TMO). The goal is for young people to feel safe, seen and to get the tools they need to feel good and develop, both in their current situation and in the long term. Orientation takes place during daytime. Start date by agreement QUALIFICATIONS Who are you? We would like you to have at least two years of post-secondary education, or equivalent, with a focus on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science or another relevant field. If you are studying in any of these areas and want to gain valuable experience alongside your studies, you are also welcome to apply. Previous experience working with young people or in HVB operations is a merit. You are confident in yourself, can remain calm in challenging situations and have the ability to create trusting relationships. In meeting with young people, you see possibilities and can convey hope. You have good ability to reflect on your work and collaborate well with others. Since travel is part of the work, it is a requirement that you have a driver's license.
