About the Workplace Ersta Hospital is part of Ersta Diakoni and is Sweden's largest mission-driven hospital with a clear set of values – to see the whole person. Since 1851, we have provided healthcare on Södermalm in Stockholm, and now we welcome patients from across the country. Here we offer high-quality, specialized healthcare with both breadth and specialized expertise. We are a university healthcare unit and conduct research, education, and development in collaboration with Karolinska Institute. We are growing to help more people, and since 2023, the hospital's capacity has tripled and eight new operations have started. Our palliative clinic is one of the country's largest specialized palliative care operations and consists of: Specialized Palliative Inpatient Care Unit (SPSV) Advanced Home Healthcare (ASIH) Lilla Erstagården – Sweden's only palliative care unit for children and young people. Our palliative care unit has 21 beds in modern facilities on Södermalm. Here we care for patients with complex symptoms and significant care needs. The work is characterized by high medical expertise, close collaboration between different professions, and a shared focus on creating the best possible quality of life for patients and their families. About the Role As a full-time nurse, you will be an important part of our team and contribute where the need is greatest. You work alongside experienced colleagues in an operation where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and respect for each patient's unique situation are a natural part of everyday work. The work includes: advanced care and symptom relief medical-technical procedures support for patients and their families close collaboration with doctors, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, chaplains, and deacons. Your Experience Requirements: Licensed nurse Several years of experience in direct patient care Good proficiency with medical-technical procedures and clinical assessments Meritorious: Experience in palliative care or oncology Specialist training in a relevant area Other Information About the Recruitment This position is a need-based employment where work shifts may be scheduled for day, evening, night, and weekend hours based on operational needs.
