Full-Time Kitchen Assistant at Järla School, Nacka Municipality

As a kitchen assistant at Järla School, you will be an important part of our kitchen team and contribute every day to providing students and staff with a positive meal experience. Your Assignment As a kitchen assistant at Järla School, you work together with three kitchen assistants and two cooks to create a positive meal experience for students and staff. Together you are responsible for approximately 800 lunch portions and 350 snacks each day. The role includes preparing for lunch and snacks, serving meals, and providing students and staff with professional and welcoming service. You help keep the dining hall clean, pleasant, and functional by restocking food and supplies, and ensuring that the meal environment is inviting for all guests. The work also includes washing serving equipment and kitchen utensils, cleaning the kitchen and dining hall, and receiving and handling food deliveries. You contribute to ensuring that the kitchen's procedures for food hygiene, internal controls, and food safety are followed. As a kitchen assistant, you are an important part of the kitchen team and contribute every day to the smooth operation of the facility and to students and staff having a positive meal experience. Work is primarily scheduled for Thursdays and Fridays. Your Experience For this position, we require: - Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you also have: - Knowledge of food hygiene - Experience working in a kitchen, restaurant, or large-scale kitchen - Experience working in a school or other activity with children and young people, for example in a sports association or similar.
