DUTIES As a compliance officer, you join a team working with supervision, permitting, and information within environmental legislation, alcohol law, food legislation, and tobacco law. You will work with handling cases related to refrigerants and music noise from businesses as well as handling and supervision within alcohol law, but other tasks within our work area may also become relevant. The work includes processing incoming cases and conducting supervision visits at businesses. In your work, you will plan your own supervision activities, conduct inspections, write reports, make decisions and issue permits, follow up that deviations are corrected, and present cases to the Environment and Community Development Committee. QUALIFICATIONS We seek someone with relevant higher education, such as a focus on environment and health inspector, environmental science, or other education and/or work experience that the employer deems equivalent and appropriate. It is meritorious to have experience with authority exercise through supervision/control in the field and good knowledge of applicable environmental legislation and alcohol law. The unit includes the areas below for which the activity is responsible. You feel comfortable sometimes making difficult/uncomfortable decisions. The position involves extensive contact with businesses, decision-makers, citizens, and others, and it is important that you are confident in your role and have an open approach and positive attitude. You have good ability to communicate clearly in speech and writing in Swedish, are service- and solution-oriented with professional and adapted conduct. You take great personal responsibility and work independently while having an easy way to collaborate and contribute to the team's development. You are resourceful, results and development-oriented with good overall perspective. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and the ability to combine multiple legislative areas.
