As a schedule planner within the Mälarbanan program, you'll have a central position in one of Sweden's largest infrastructure projects. Work Tasks Mälarbanan is an important part of the rail network connecting Örebro, Västerås, and Enköping with Stockholm. Mälarbanan is also part of Stockholm's local commuter rail network. The program encompasses approximately 20 kilometers of railway between Tomteboda and Kallhäll in northwestern Stockholm and is one of the country's most heavily trafficked routes. In your role as schedule planner within the Mälarbanan program, you'll have a central function in ensuring that the program's schedules are current, realistic, and well-anchored. You'll serve as qualified support on scheduling matters and be responsible for establishing, coordinating, and monitoring the program's schedules. The work includes scenario analyses, production scheduling, and ongoing monitoring and reporting of partial schedules and deliveries. You'll also participate in schedule reviews and work closely with project management and other planners in the program to create good conditions for progress and goal achievement. The role involves independent responsibility for ensuring that the program's schedules are updated and aligned with operational needs. You'll work closely with the unit manager, group managers, project managers, project engineers, and other key personnel within the operation. With your experience, we see that you'll contribute both independent initiative and strong teamwork, while generously sharing your knowledge and experience with the team. Qualifications Who Are You? To succeed in this role, you have excellent communication skills and can convey your message clearly and pedagogically. You create understanding of the schedule's importance and ensure that various stakeholders understand both their contribution and how their work affects the overall outcome. You work structurally and have an easy time seeing the big picture, identifying dependencies, and understanding how different choices impact program progress. With strong analytical problem-solving skills, you can evaluate different action alternatives and draw well-founded conclusions. The role involves many internal and external contact points, which requires good collaboration skills. You're attentive, ask relevant questions, and have the ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information from different operations to create alignment and good conditions for program planning and implementation. We're Looking for You If You Have about a couple of years of relevant and current experience in production scheduling from the contracting industry or client organization within construction and civil engineering experience conducting scenario analyses higher education in the built environment sector of at least 180 credits (120 points) or equivalent education and experience that we consider relevant for the position good knowledge of scheduling support systems such as Primavera, Microsoft Project, or other equivalent systems good knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written It's Also Desirable If You Have coordinated different schedules across multiple projects/contracts experience coordinating schedules between design and production worked with scheduling in a rail project a driver's license for a passenger car Other Information Web-based tests will be used as part of the selection process in this recruitment.
