We are now seeking mechanical assemblers for modern data center projects in Norway. Here you will work with the assembly of equipment and technical solutions in a growing industry while being offered competitive wages, arranged accommodation, and long-term development opportunities. The position suits both those with several years of experience and those who have recently completed training in electrical, HVAC, construction, industrial, or similar fields. The workplace is located in Sande The employer is Barona AS. Job Responsibilities Your work tasks include: Mechanical assembly of electrical panels, control cabinets, and technical equipment. Assembly of frames, enclosures, covers, doors, and protective equipment. Assembly of mounting rails, brackets, and other technical equipment. Assembly of cable trays, cable entries, and other mechanical parts. Drilling, screwing, measuring, fitting, and other assembly work. Use of hand tools and power tools. Work according to drawings and instructions. Quality control of finished products and installations. The work focuses on mechanical assembly and does not include electrical installations or connections that require electrical certification. What Do We Expect From You? We wish that you have: High school education or other appropriate training in electrical, HVAC, construction, metal, mechanical, or production engineering. Experience with practical installation and assembly work. Basic knowledge of using hand tools and power tools. Ability to follow work instructions and read drawings. A careful and safe working method. Ability to work independently and as part of a work team. Previous experience in mechanical assembly, installation work, or industrial production tasks is a merit. We also welcome recent graduates and people with limited work experience. What matters most is that you have an interest in practical work, technology, and assembly, and a desire to develop. Wages and Work Hours The wage is determined based on work experience and certificates or qualifications relevant to the position: 263.70–297.80 NOK per hour Shift supplements are paid on top of the base hourly wage. Work time reduction compensation 2.74%. Week with morning shift: 6:30 a.m.–2:15 p.m. Monday–Thursday and 6:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Friday. Week with evening shift: 2:30 p.m.–11:45 p.m. Monday–Thursday, Friday off. What Do We Offer? A full-time employment contract and opportunity for long-term work. When you arrive in Norway, Barona receives you at the office in Drammen, helps you with the practical arrangements before starting work, and assists with your visit to the tax office. Work shifts are determined according to the workplace. In Sande there is both day work and shift work. Costs Paid by the Employee The rent for accommodation arranged by Barona is approximately 5,000–6,000 NOK per month. Flight tickets and other travel costs to Norway. The price of flight tickets varies depending on departure location, timing, and airline. A possible train journey between Oslo and Drammen costs approximately 220–320 NOK per direction. Possible meals at the workplace cost approximately 60 NOK, if meal service is offered at the workplace.
