As a technical specialist at NCC Industry, Asfalt Nord, you will have a key role in developing and streamlining our asphalt plants in northern Sweden. Here you will work closely with production, drive improvements, and contribute to a more sustainable and cost-effective operation together with engaged colleagues.
About Us
NCC is one of the Nordic region's leading construction and infrastructure companies. Within NCC Industry, we produce materials and solutions that form the foundation for roads, bridges, and other socially important infrastructure. We are driven by development, innovation, and sustainable methods and offer a workplace where expertise, collaboration, and safety are in focus.
With us, you will become part of a specialist function where knowledge sharing and development are a natural part of everyday work. Together, we work to create efficient production facilities and the sustainable asphalt production of the future.
About the Role
As a technical specialist, you will have a central role in supporting, developing, and streamlining our asphalt plants within Asfalt Nord. You will work in close collaboration with our other technical specialists, site managers, and the production organization, and will function as important technical support in both daily operations and long-term development projects.
The work is varied and combines operational support with strategic improvement work. You will drive and participate in projects related to investments, reconstructions, and production development, and contribute to developing our technical processes and methods.
Your main responsibilities are to:
provide technical support to our asphalt plants in production, operations, and equipment
identify improvement opportunities and drive development initiatives
participate in investment projects and reconstructions
develop systematic maintenance, planning, and technical processes
support site managers in technical and administrative matters
collaborate with suppliers and internal functions on technical issues
contribute to the selection and development of technical equipment
work toward safe, cost-effective, and sustainable production, where asphalt recycling is also an important part.
Preferred placement is Umeå, Sundsvall, or Gävle. The role includes travel throughout Asfalt Nord's geographic area, from Gästrikland and Dalarna up to Norrbotten.
A Class B driver's license is required.
At NCC, you have the opportunity to develop in an operation where innovation, sustainability, and safety are central. We offer collective agreements, good employee benefits, wellness allowances, reduced working hours, and several other valued benefits.
About You
We are looking for someone with a strong technical interest who thrives in a role where analysis, structure, and practical improvement work go hand in hand. You have relevant higher education or university education in, for example, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or industrial engineering, or equivalent experience.
If you have previously worked in the process or production industry, we see that as a major advantage. Experience in project management, investments, maintenance, or operational optimization is a merit, as is knowledge of asphalt plants or similar process facilities.
To thrive in the role, you are a person who:
works in a structured manner and has good analytical skills
takes initiative and drives improvements from idea to implementation
is independent while appreciating close collaboration with others
communicates clearly and builds good relationships
has a holistic perspective and sees the connection between technology, production, and economics.
