About the Operation The IT Support department is tasked with developing and managing overarching and shared processes in our area. It also oversees services within these domains. Our operations are primarily located in Sundsvall, Härnösand, Örnsköldsvik, and Sollefteå. The IT department's mission is to deliver high-quality and secure IT services to the region's operations. Deliveries are made through projects, management, and support to a complex and vital operation. IT also works extensively as a client organization since the region's IT operations are managed by an external provider. Approximately 90 people work within IT, all with varying backgrounds and experience. We strive for an open work environment where we help each other develop. We are now seeking a technical IT project manager who will play a central role in leading and delivering our IT projects. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects on schedule and budget, as well as ensuring that projects meet our high quality standards. This position is a permanent full-time role with start date no earlier than 2026-09-01. Responsibilities Lead project teams and collaborate with various departments to ensure successful project deliveries Develop and monitor project plans, timelines, and budgets Identify and manage risks and resolve problems that may arise during project execution Communicate regularly with stakeholders and keep them informed of project progress Ensure that projects meet technical requirements and quality standards Drive projects according to our adopted project management model PPS Qualifications We are looking for someone who Has post-secondary education in IT or equivalent knowledge from work experience Has experience managing technical IT projects in the public sector or in organizations we consider equivalent over the past three years Has good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing Holds a category B driver's license It is a plus if you Have training in project management, such as leadership, change management, risk management, and communication Have experience with procurement, value assessment, and project models such as PPS To succeed in this role, we believe you have these personal qualities Goal- and results-oriented Structured Relationship-building Leadership Region Västernorrland With approximately 7,000 employees and over 200 professions, Region Västernorrland is responsible for several of the operations most vital to residents' ability to participate in society.
