Technical Project Manager for Procurement in Defense Industry

ABOUT THE POSITION: As a project manager, you will be responsible for driving new projects for the submarine business. You will work closely with the procurement function and other parts of the organization to ensure efficient operations. You will act as a sub-project manager in larger projects together with procurement project managers, where you drive the work forward and ensure delivery according to plan. The role involves significant personal responsibility and requires you to independently gather and analyze information from several functions such as procurement, finance, legal, production, and engineering. What a day as a project manager might look like: - Contact with customers and monitoring of project progress - Create and develop material budgets and quotation calculations for new projects - Monitor and analyze material budgets in ongoing projects - Develop and improve processes related to budgeting and monitoring - Participate in and drive sub-projects within procurement - Possibly work with index calculations in supplier agreements WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WITH: - At least 3 years of relevant work experience as a project manager in a technical environment - A degree from a university or technical engineering program - Very strong knowledge of Excel - Experience working cross-functionally in organizations - Open to business travel - Good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written It is advantageous but not required if you have a military background or experience from the construction and engineering industry. The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to applicable security clearance regulations. For positions where the client has requirements for security clearance, this may, where applicable, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
