Technical Production Manager at FCP* – Jönköping Right technology, right people, and right resources, in the right place at the right time. That's the whole job, and it's harder than it sounds. FCP* delivers the technology behind events, conferences, concerts, and trade shows. We rig and run productions on-site, we rent equipment to others who know their craft, and we build permanent installations. Many projects, with great variety between them — from a speaker over a desk to an entire gala. Now we're looking for someone who makes sure it all comes together. The Role You hold together the planning from when a project is booked until the last flight case is back in its place in the warehouse. It sounds simple. It's not. Staffing planning. Making sure the right person is in the right position, whether it's a colleague or a freelancer we bring in Equipment planning. Which equipment goes where and when, and when something needs to be supplemented or rented — so that every project has what's needed to get the job done Transport planning. Getting goods and personnel on-site on time — which transports are needed, loading times, and access Looking ahead. Spotting weeks that risk falling apart before they do How we work. Not just next week, but why next week looks the way it does We work in Rentman and Notion. If you already know them you'll be productive quickly, and if you've worked in similar software the barrier is low. You get to shape the role This isn't a chair someone has sat in for ten years. The structure exists — it's built and it works — but it's lived with people rather than in the organization. You get to establish it, and you get real authority to do so. No one should have to ask permission to solve a problem in a project that's already booked. The scope is broad and needs vary. Some jobs go out and come home in a day with little planning but lots of equipment. Others require the whole puzzle to be laid out weeks in advance. Finding ways of working that function for both is one of the most concrete things you can improve for us. Who we're looking for Experience planning resources in project-intensive operations — events, concerts, rentals, theater, festival, touring, or similar Enough technical understanding to know what you're booking. The idea isn't that you need to be a full-fledged technician — but it helps if you know the difference between what a sound technician and a stagehand do, and most importantly you want to learn the equipment You keep many projects in your head at once without losing track, and see the whole picture without missing the details You scale your effort based on the job's size. A project worth ten thousand shouldn't cost as much administration as one worth a hundred thousand You notice when the same problem comes back, and do something about the cause instead of solving it again You keep pace and get things done. What you own you don't let go of until it's finished — even when colleagues help along the way, and they often do You're forward-thinking. You see what can go wrong before it does, and address it while it's still simple Familiar with working in management systems and keeping data correct You make decisions when reality doesn't follow the plan, and stand by them Swedish and English, B driving license If you come from events, concerts, rentals, festivals, touring, theater, or TV you'll recognize yourself immediately. The focus is on implementation. Customer meetings and concepts occur, but that's not where you'll spend your time — you also build proposals in the system to support the sales work.
