We are looking for a Technical Engineer who wants to help us develop our operations within IBA & Ashes, Metal Refinery. In this role, you'll have a broad and varied day-to-day experience where you combine automation, maintenance, industrial IT/OT, technical projects, production-related activities, and continuous improvement work. You'll become an important technical resource in the operation and have great opportunities to influence how we develop our production forward. About the Role As a Technical Engineer, you will work closely with production, maintenance, engineering, IT/OT, and external partners. You'll become a problem-solver and technical specialist who contributes to ensuring our facility operates safely, reliably, and efficiently. You will, among other things: Lead and participate in technical projects and improvement initiatives. Work with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation. Optimize software settings and adjust parameters in control systems. Troubleshoot and develop automation and production systems. Develop strategies for preventive and corrective maintenance. Support operations during production disruptions and technical issues. Work with industrial IT/OT, networks, servers, and remote access. Develop technical solutions and designs in CAD. Coordinate contractors, suppliers, and technical partners. Participate in commissioning and optimization of new equipment and processes. Conduct root cause analyses and drive long-term improvements. Monitor and analyze technical and production-related data to increase operational reliability and efficiency. Perform sampling, measurement, analysis, and tracking of materials to ensure quality. Contribute to systematic work in occupational health, safety, and environment. You will function as a technical expert and support for production and maintenance, and you'll also have the opportunity to share your knowledge through training and onboarding of colleagues. We Believe You Have Education or equivalent experience in technology, automation, electrical, mechatronics, or mechanics. Experience with industrial maintenance and operational reliability. Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation. Experience with industrial networks and IT/OT environments. Experience with CAD, for example Autodesk Inventor. Experience with technical projects and/or coordination of contractors. Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking. A structured, practical, and solution-oriented approach. Good English language skills, both spoken and written. It is a merit if you have experience from process industry, metal industry, or other complex production environments.
