Job Description
As an energy and HVAC specialist, you play a key role in developing and ensuring sustainable, reliable, and cost-effective building technical systems within Region Östergötland's properties.
The role encompasses overall responsibility for energy and utility issues, where you work with analyses, monitoring, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic development. Together with our technical developer for HVAC, you share responsibility for building technical guidelines and monitor our contracted property operations in areas such as heating, cooling, ventilation, water/sewage, and sprinkler systems.
The assignment includes, among other things:
Develop and monitor guidelines for HVAC systems and energy solutions.
Ensure that technical requirements and strategies are followed in construction and development projects.
Monitor property operations deliverables in HVAC, energy, and utilities.
Develop energy targets and action plans to reduce energy consumption and achieve Region Östergötland's sustainability goals.
Analyze energy statistics, develop key metrics, and budget and forecast utility costs.
Provide specialist support and serve as a contact person for energy and HVAC issues, both internally and externally.
Contribute as an expert in procurement, investments, and development initiatives.
You work closely with colleagues in Regionfastigheter, property economics, sustainability, operations, and construction projects. The role involves many contact points and good opportunities to influence the development of our properties and technical systems.
Work Group
You will be part of a technical team with specialists in various disciplines. The assignment is carried out in close collaboration with multiple employees both within and outside the unit in Regionfastigheter since the position's assignment concerns both property management, operations, and construction production.
About You
We prefer that you have a university or college degree with a focus on energy. The role requires good knowledge of HVAC and building technical systems with high equipment density and system solutions and their integration in the construction process. You have several years of experience working in the construction/real estate industry, have developed your knowledge and experience, and feel confident in this work area.
Experience with business economics and bookkeeping skills related to responsibility for the utility budget is a merit.
You have good IT skills and very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
You are someone who enjoys communicating with others so that expectations are clear for all involved parties. You have good collaboration skills and the ability to build good relationships and trust among various stakeholders. It is important for the position that you take responsibility and initiative to start activities to achieve results. A structured and thorough approach to work is a prerequisite, where you plan and prioritize your work efficiently. You have a broad perspective and think strategically, understand the long-term significance of matters, and adapt your actions accordingly.
