The Swedish Police Authority's IT department is seeking a project manager with technical expertise in lock technology. Job Description We are seeking an engaged locksmith or technical specialist with a focus on physical security. This is a broad and developing role where you combine strategic work with operational support. The work involves more administration in the form of consulting and standardization than physical execution in the form of installation. Consulting and standardization, though practical handling is also included. Good product knowledge is needed to make relevant assessments and propose replacement products, as well as the ability to make (or learn to make) assessments for relevant time expenditure for various lock installations, for invoice review. Your Responsibilities The group's primary responsibility includes operation, maintenance, and administration of the Police Authority's lock systems, as well as design and development of systems for property protection. The goal is to ensure high availability and quality within the lock area. Your main areas of responsibility will be: System Administration: Establish lock schedules, order lock systems, perform documentation work, and follow up on matters economically. Technical Support & Consulting: Provide national support to colleagues and operations in developing lock schedules and solving recurring lock-related technical problems. Standardization & Development: Work toward increased standardization within the lock area and develop procedures and descriptions. Procurement & Crisis Preparedness: Participate in requirements specification and procurement, and assist in work with crisis and security plans. Practical Handling: Periodically install lock cylinders, manufacture keys, and perform documentation work. Qualifications We are looking for you who: • Are trained as a locksmith or have equivalent education that the Police Authority deems equivalent • Have at least 3 years of experience from the industry/locksmith profession • Have experience working with physical and technical security within lock technology • Have experience working in retail as an in-store locksmith • Basic knowledge of the Office package • Have good knowledge of Swedish and English (spoken and written) • Are a Swedish citizen (security-classified position) Meritorious Experience • Journeyman's certificate • Experience developing effective administrative procedures and management • Experience working in or with large organizations or authorities with high demands for operational reliability and information security • Experience with Salto or similar technical solutions • Knowledge of accessibility requirements and fire/evacuation Personal Qualities The tasks require flexibility; we are looking for someone who smoothly switches between working independently toward set goals and who is good at collaborating in a team.
