About the position
As a Technical Specialist in Foundations, you will have a central and important function in the development of Svenska kraftnät's technical solutions for overhead line foundations. The work varies between strategic issues and operational support in projects, with a particular focus on technical guidelines, standard designs, and project support.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Managing and further developing technical guidelines, such as TR05-02, related to overhead line foundations. This involves ensuring that the guidelines are current, relevant, and adapted to both technical requirements and operational needs.
- Leading and implementing development projects related to Svenska kraftnät's standard foundations and standard designs. The work is carried out either internally or in close collaboration with our consultant partners, with a focus on developing solutions that are cost-effective, buildable, and sustainable from a lifecycle perspective.
- Providing technical support in our installation projects regarding foundation requirements and solutions. This can include, for example, reviewing special designs and calculation reports, performing design verification, and handling deviations from applicable guidelines.

The unit's work affects large parts of Svenska kraftnät's project portfolio, which means that you will clearly be able to see how your contributions are implemented in practice and have an impact on projects.
Over the coming years, a large number of projects will start simultaneously as many new people enter the industry. Together, this creates a need to develop innovative and efficient working methods, where you become an important part in driving development forward.
The position is placed in the Overhead Line Technology Design unit. Here, 14 technical specialists work with responsibility for the technical design of overhead lines and associated foundations.
About you
Required qualifications:
- To thrive and succeed in the role, you are results-oriented and have the ability to drive work forward with a focus on quality and goal achievement. You have an analytical approach and can in a structured way understand complex technical issues, weigh different solutions against each other, and make well-founded decisions.
- At the same time, you are collaboration-oriented and enjoy working in a role where you work closely with both colleagues and external partners, where dialogue and knowledge exchange are a natural part of the work. You are also curious and have a genuine interest in developing within your field, following technical developments, and contributing to driving working methods and solutions forward.
- We place great importance on your personal qualities.
- You have a civil or technical degree in civil engineering, road and water engineering, building technology, or equivalent that we deem relevant.
- Good knowledge of both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Several years of work experience with overhead lines, substations, wind power, masts, bridge structures, or equivalent.
- At least five years of work experience with foundation and concrete construction.
It is advantageous if you have:
- Several years of work experience with design or contracts in the construction industry
- Been active in the overhead line industry for at least three years during the past five years
- Experience from overhead line design
- Experience with pile foundation design
- Knowledge of AB/ABT/ABK/AMA/MER/Eurocodes and similar industry standards
