Do you want to create technical documentation that makes complex products easier to understand, use, and maintain? Combitech in Stockholm is seeking an engaged technical writer with a few years of experience in structured and audience-focused writing. With us, you'll work on technically advanced customer projects while developing your skills in modern methods, tools, and standards for technical product information.
The Role
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
create, update, and quality assure clear and user-friendly technical information, such as assembly instructions, system descriptions, user guides, maintenance manuals, and parts catalogs
write topic-based content and structure information for efficient reuse
produce and manage information in a CCMS environment
adapt content, structure, and language for different audiences and use cases
work closely with designers, system engineers, and other subject matter experts to gather information
contribute to developing information structures, templates, quality procedures, work methods, and processes
participate in varied projects within defense, medical technology, automotive, and other high-tech industries
The work is performed both independently and in teams, either on-site at the customer or from our office in Alvik. Your base will be Stockholm, with assignments primarily in the region. Hybrid work in other parts of the country may also be possible.
We Are Looking For
someone with post-secondary education in technical writing, engineering, or cognitive science
2-3 years of experience creating and managing technical information
practical experience working in a CCMS system
experience with topic-based writing and structured information management
the ability to interpret technical documentation and translate it into clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate information
strong Swedish and English language skills, both oral and written
organized, quality-conscious, and solution-oriented; someone who takes responsibility for driving your work forward and enjoys collaborating and building relationships with different technical experts
It is strongly advantageous if you have experience with S1000D, Shipdex, DITA, STE, or ILS. It is also beneficial if you have experience from the defense industry, FMV, or other security and regulated operations.
Since this position may involve work covered by defense secrecy, you must complete and be approved for a security clearance with background check.
