Ground Workshop Enköping is a section within Ground Workshop Uppland, which is one of eight departments within the Ground Workshop Unit (MvE) and belongs to the Army Staff. Mv Uppland currently has approximately 55 employees and conducts operations in Enköping and Uppsala.
The Ground Workshop performs maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' ground equipment and provides technical system support. This includes maintenance in the form of inspections, repairs, manufacturing, disassembly/scrapping, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and material inspections.
Main duties:
Work as a technician in electronic warfare involves independently performing both preventive and corrective maintenance work on electronic warfare systems. The tasks include soldier-portable systems and cabin and vehicle-mounted systems used by our units. Most of the work is done in our workshop.
· Maintenance and repairs of the Swedish Armed Forces' electronic warfare systems.
· Technical support to the Swedish Armed Forces' electronic warfare companies and other stakeholders.
· Support the development of existing systems and contribute to the development of new ones.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with at least a completed two- or three-year upper secondary education with a focus on electrical/telecommunications/technology, or alternatively competence acquired through professional experience that the employer deems equivalent.
Good knowledge of Swedish and English
Class B driver's license
Good knowledge in the field of telecommunications/radio communication and data technology/data communication and the ability to independently perform troubleshooting/repairs on these types of systems
Personal qualities
We are looking for someone with a strong technical interest who places great emphasis on safety and quality. As an electronic warfare technician, you will work individually and in a group of 4-5 people, and we are looking for someone who works well in a group but can also take responsibility for individual work. You need to be flexible and self-driven, motivated and engaged to thrive in the role.
We are looking for someone with high security awareness and the desire to achieve high quality. We appreciate if you are service-oriented and well-organized. Meritorious qualifications
· Experience from the Swedish Armed Forces
· Experience handling signal protection equipment
· Experience with network technology
· Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance of the Swedish Armed Forces' telecommunications/radio/command systems
· Class C driver's license · Knowledge of radio/wireless communication
