Högskolan Väst is seeking a technician in network technology Job Responsibilities: You will be part of a team within data technology that is specifically focused on networks and IT security (NIT). The program you will work with is popular and has high application pressure with a first-year intake of approximately 100 students. The field is in constant development, which means work that requires continuous updating of knowledge and competence. The position also requires that you are present and available for students, which is an important indicator for their success in their studies. As a technician, you will contribute to the university college's operations with your specialist expertise in networks and IT security. Your assignment will be to develop and be responsible for laboratory work and practical examinations. You will be part of students' education by participating in seminars and lectures based on your technical expertise. The position also includes responsibility for laboratory environments, software, and equipment. Laboratory work takes place primarily in Swedish but English may occur. In addition to the above tasks, the position will also include participation in the department's other activities, such as departmental and institutional meetings. Requirements for this position: Bachelor's degree in data technology of at least 180 credits Technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas: CCNP, CCNA, CCNA security Ability to communicate in Swedish and English in speech and writing Good collaboration skills Merits for the position: Valid industrial Cisco certificate for CCNA Work experience in the data technology field and/or network communication Experience with Proxmox system administration A pedagogical approach Experience working in projects Special Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is relationship-building and has good collaboration skills.
