Team Leader for Family Foster Care Unit

The Family Foster Care Unit is part of the Social Services Department and works with family foster care for children and youth. Here you will find an organization with high expertise, great commitment, and a clear desire to develop. The unit consists of 20 case managers and three team leaders as well as a unit manager. We are organized in different functional teams with a focus on support and follow-up, enhanced family foster care and on-call services, as well as recruitment and matching. As a team leader, you are important and part of our joint unit management together with the leadership of the Family Law and Child Welfare Unit. You are stepping into an organization in transition, where there are clear development plans and good opportunities to influence both working methods and results. 1 position(s). DUTIES As a team leader, you are responsible for leading and distributing the daily work within your team. You support employees in complex cases, provide guidance in difficult conversations, and help create structure and quality in the work. Your role has a central function in strengthening collaboration around the child's best interest, including contact with foster families. You work in a coaching and development-oriented manner with your employees, with a focus on creating engagement and contributing to their professional development. You are a stable and present leader who can remain calm in challenging situations, bring peace during uncertainty, and provide support in change management. The role also includes responsibility for driving method development in line with the organization's goals and contributing to strategic work within the unit. QUALIFICATIONS You are a social worker or behavioral scientist and meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's competency requirements. We want you to have work experience in social work, for example as a counselor, social secretary, or family foster care secretary. A B-class driver's license is required. It is a merit if you have worked as a team leader or in a similar role and have experience with government administration. As a person, you are responsive, clear, and confident. Working hours: 08-17 including on-call duty (every 3rd week) The Social Services Department is responsible for creating social security for children, youth, and adults. The goal is to work toward achieving social sustainability. The Social Services Department conducts qualified and well-developed social work. The department's work includes both government administration as well as treatment and support services for children, youth, adults, and families.
