Do you love food and are ready for a career where people are at the center? At City Gross, everything we do is about helping and inspiring our customers to live a better everyday life. Our heart beats a little extra for fresh products and we believe in people. We believe we become better when we have different backgrounds and experiences. Whether you showcase freshly harvested vegetables, cut the perfect piece of meat, ensure that shelves are always well-stocked, or that we have campaigns that meet our customers' needs, everyone here is here for one reason: to create an amazing customer experience.
About the Job
Position: Permanent full-time employment, probation period applies.
Start Date: By agreement.
Work Hours: Early mornings, daytime, late evenings, and weekends are a natural part of the work.
We welcome applicants of all ages, but due to the Work Environment Act, you must be at least 18 years old to work in the fish, deli, and catering department.
You Put the Final Touch on the Customer Experience
You have the chance to make a big impact on our customers' visits, so you have an important mission to make the customer experience smooth and pleasant. This could mean a friendly smile, an unexpected question, or a helpful attitude so that the customer finds what they need in the store. You should ensure that the customer leaves satisfied—and hopefully with an extra item in their basket and a good feeling!
What Will You Do?
Every day brings new meetings and challenges, but some of your main tasks are:
Ensure that daily operations on the store floor run smoothly by leading and distributing work.
Be a role model in customer interactions and inspire colleagues so that our customers leave the store feeling they've had a world-class customer experience.
Together with the Sales Manager, be responsible for planning, following up on, and developing work in the department.
Work to coordinate resources and ensure that expertise is used efficiently to achieve set goals.
Contribute to offering our customers a fresh and inviting fish and delicatessen department.
Collaborate with colleagues throughout the store – we are a team and help where needed!
You report to the Sales Manager for Fresh Products, who has personnel responsibility for the department.
Who Are You?
You are a natural problem-solver who enjoys fast-paced work. A friendly hello and a desire to inspire and develop other people are second nature to you. Do you have a strong interest in fresh products and selling goods? Great! Do you have previous leadership experience? Even better!
We believe that you:
Have a high school education and speak and write Swedish fluently. Since our customers speak more languages than that, it's fantastic if you do too.
Have a couple of years of previous experience working in a store in the Fish/Delicatessen area.
If you have previous experience in leadership, store economics, and sales, that's a plus.
If you have previous training in the field or are a trained chef/cold kitchen specialist, that's a plus.
Love meeting customers and believe that service should be genuine and engaged.
What Do You Get?
Secure Terms – We have collective agreements with Handels and Unionen.
Affordable Food Basket – You get an employee discount on everything from luxurious weekend dinners to quick weekday meal solutions.
Parental Leave with Extra Security – We offer enhanced parental benefits according to our collective agreement so you can enjoy your new family member a bit extra.
A Healthier and More Energetic Body and Mind – We care about your health and offer wellness benefits so you can stay active in the way that suits you best.
Real Career Opportunities – With us, there's a chance to grow! Many of our store managers started exactly where you are now.
