Booking & Events is one of two units that make up the Association Support department, whose primary mission is to support community organizations in Gothenburg in various ways. The unit's areas of responsibility include customer service, the booking function for the department's facilities, event coordination, and facility referrals to community organizations. The unit currently consists of one unit manager and 19 employees who together ensure that our customers receive the best possible service and support.
We are now seeking an engaged team lead who is passionate about creating good conditions for our employees to deliver excellent service to those who have questions about or want to book our facilities. The role of team lead for Booking & Customer Service is ideal for you if you want a varied assignment. You will have the opportunity to work broadly and flexibly in this role, with tasks that may develop over time. You report to the unit manager. Your main areas of responsibility will include:
Lead and distribute daily work in the work group to ensure smooth daily operations. Provide feedback to the unit manager on current status, challenges, and needs.
Contribute with information, experience, and operational knowledge.
Assess competence development needs within the group, which provides decision-making support to the unit manager.
Follow up on decisions made, such as within competence development.
Follow up and ensure good communication/dialogue with stakeholders/customers/community organizations.
Take on regular work tasks during peak periods or special situations.
Introduce new employees to operational work (workplace routines, work methods).
Contribute operatively to development work and implement assignments according to the unit manager's direction. Work proactively to enable development work.
Meetings with community organizations.
Work hours are primarily during daytime, but evening and weekend work may also occur for meetings with community organizations.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with at least two years of post-secondary education or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience leading, planning, and coordinating work in various contexts and feel confident taking an active and driving role in meetings and forums with diverse audiences. You are a good communicator who expresses yourself fluently in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing, and have the ability to create engagement, participation, and trusting relationships.
To succeed in the role, you need to have good administrative skills and high digital competence, preferably with experience in Office 365. Since the work involves regular visits to our facilities and close cooperation with community organizations, a driver's license is required. It is a merit if you have knowledge of Gothenburg's organization and understanding of sports and community organizations' conditions and challenges. We also value if you have worked in a similar role before.
