Technical Lead ITSM

Job Description The role involves launching and leading the technical work in a newly formed development team responsible for development, configuration, integration, and technical management of the new ITSM tool being implemented in the customer's IT department during the year. The assignment includes translating business needs into sustainable technical solutions, ensuring good architecture and quality, and supporting developers in technical decisions while assisting product owners. The role requires independence, strong communication skills, and experience working in environments with high demands on security, traceability, availability, and regulatory compliance. You should be able to: · Lead and coordinate technical work in the development and management of the ITSM tool · Oversee technical design, architecture, and solution proposals · Support requirements analysis and translate business requirements into technical solutions · Quality assure development, configurations, integrations, and deliverables · Guide developers and contribute to methodology, standards, and best practices · Participate in technical forums, management meetings, and dialogue with business, IT, and vendors · Ensure that solutions comply with information security, data protection, accessibility, and manageability requirements · Contribute to documentation, technical guidelines, and handover to operations Requirements Minimum eight (8) years of experience in IT development, technical management, or platform development. Minimum three (3) years of experience with ITSM tools, such as Service Desk Plus, ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, BMC Helix, Ivanti, TOPdesk, or equivalent. With the ITSM tool, at minimum the ITIL processes Incident, Problem, Change, Release, and Configuration must have been handled. Documented experience from at least three (3) assignments involving technical leadership in development or management work including, for example, integrations with other IT systems, large user bases (>100), and different business areas within the organization, where requirements management and technical documentation were also part of the responsibilities. Documented experience from at least three (3) years of work with quality assurance in both automated and manual testing. Documented experience from at least three (3) years of work with maintainable solution design in development or management assignments including, for example, integrations with other IT systems, large user bases (at least 100), and different business areas within the organization. By maintainable solution design is meant solutions that follow the vendor's development guidelines in the tool to ensure future management and upgrades. Documented work experience from at least two (2) years within public administration in larger organizations (at least 500 employees). Documented experience from at least two (2) years of work with integrations between ITSM tools and other systems via APIs, web services, or integration platforms. The assignment involves being part of the journey through implementation, establishment, and handover of system support, work processes, etc., to ensure successful delivery and benefit realization. A new product area for the ITSM tool will be established for ongoing management of the product, and the consultant will be involved in establishing this capability and preparing for an employee resource to eventually take over the role as Tech Lead. Placement The assignment currently allows for both remote work and on-site work at the office on Kungsholmen in Stockholm. Days and times for this are determined based on organizational needs and customer approval. Schedule and Scope Start: 2026-08-17 End: 2027-08-16 Extension options: The customer has the option to extend the contract period by an additional 1+1+1 years under existing contract terms Assignment Scope 40 hours per week.
