Taxi Driver Umeå Accessible Transport Vehicle (Fixed Salary)

We are now recruiting additional drivers to join our team of drivers operating Accessible Transport Vehicles / Multi-vehicles in Umeå. We are looking for both full-time and part-time drivers. A multi-vehicle is a minibus equipped to transport, for example, passengers in wheelchairs. Our multi-vehicles can be operated with a B-class driver's license. However, you must hold a taxi license. As a driver in a multi-vehicle, you will primarily perform wheelchair transports, but also stretcher transports, accessible transport services, school trips, and medical transports, and occasionally regular taxi rides. Employment can start as soon as possible. Prior to employment start, training in company procedures and equipment will be provided. We are particularly looking for applicants who already hold a taxi license, but we also welcome applicants interested in obtaining a taxi license if you are the right fit for our organization. If you do not have a taxi license, we can offer assistance with your studies to obtain it (study materials, etc.). We also cover the costs of obtaining the taxi license (exam fees, medical examination, etc.). We are looking for Umeå's best drivers. Taxi driving is a highly service-oriented profession with significant customer contact. It is easy to think that taxi driving is transporting people to and from nightclubs on weekend evenings, as this is often what people associate with taxis. However, driving taxi for us is primarily about performing publicly funded transport during weekdays. This includes medical transports for regional health services, school trips, and accessible transport services for municipalities. It also includes considerable business trips for corporate customers. You constantly work with people and are often key to their day-to-day activities, helping them get to and from healthcare facilities, schools, workplaces, etc. We cover a large geographic area and operate traffic across much of Norrland. For example, we have vehicles stationed in Boden, Kalix, Luleå, Nordmaling, Robertsfors, Skellefteå, Sollefteå, Vindeln, Vännäs, Umeå, and Örnsköldsvik municipalities. It is not uncommon for us to have many longer trips across municipal borders and throughout much of Norrland. We currently have approximately 185 vehicles and approximately 300 employed drivers. In addition to transporting passengers and serving our customers, your responsibilities include keeping the vehicles you operate clean and well-maintained.
