We are now looking for more drivers to join our team of paratransit vehicle / multi-purpose vehicle drivers in Umeå. We are seeking both full-time and part-time drivers. A multi-purpose vehicle is a minibus with the capacity to transport, for example, passengers in wheelchairs. Our multi-purpose vehicles can be driven with a Class B driver's license. However, you must have a taxi license. As a driver of a multi-purpose vehicle, you primarily perform wheelchair transportation, but also stretcher transportation, paratransit services, school trips, and medical transportation, and sometimes regular taxi trips as well. Working hours vary and you follow a shift schedule, which means evenings and weekends may be included. However, we also have other types of schedules. For example, there are schedules with only afternoons/evenings if you prefer that, and there may also be schedules where you work 7 days and have 7 days off. For these positions, employment is expected to start in the second half of August. Before the start of employment, training in the company's procedures and equipment will be conducted. We especially welcome applicants who already hold a taxi license, but we also accept applicants interested in obtaining a taxi license if you seem like the right person for the organization. If you do not have a taxi license, we can offer help with your studies to obtain it (study materials, etc.). We also cover the costs of obtaining the taxi license (exam fees, medical examination, etc.). We are looking for Umeå's best drivers. Being a taxi driver is a highly service-oriented profession with a lot of customer contact. It is easy to think that taxi work is just driving people to and from bars on weekend nights, as this is what people often associate taxi with as private users. Driving taxi with us is primarily about performing publicly funded transportation on weekdays. This includes medical trips for regions, school trips, and paratransit trips for municipalities. But also quite a bit of business trips for corporate customers. You constantly work with people and are often key to their daily lives for getting to and from healthcare facilities, schools, work, etc. We cover a large geographic area and operate traffic in large parts of Northern Sweden. For example, we have vehicles stationed in Boden, Kalix, Luleå, Nordmaling, Robertsfors, Sollefteå, Vindeln, Vännäs, Umeå, and Örnsköldsvik municipalities. It is not uncommon for us to have many longer trips across municipal borders and throughout large parts of Northern Sweden. We currently have approximately 175 vehicles and approximately 250 employed drivers.
